Vincent Ruland, M.D.
Background
Vincent joined Versant in August 2025 as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence based in Basel, Switzerland. He is focused on supporting both existing Versant companies as well as future opportunities in Europe and North America.
Prior to joining Versant, Vincent served as SVP, Head of R&D Strategy, Portfolio and Operations at Bayer Pharmaceuticals. His experience in biopharma spans along the value chain, having served in commercial, strategic and R&D roles.
History
Vincent is a physician-scientist trained in Neuropathology. He has published numerous articles in neuro-oncology and immunology, and obtained his M.D. from the University of Münster, Germany. He also holds an M.Phil. in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge, England.
